FEATURES
GREAT WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION
The TR-4’s three-track design manages mainframe and component weight distribution to concentrate the majority of the machine’s mass directly over the cutter drum. Of course, more weight over the cutter translates to better performance and productivity than is possible with other designs.
TOUGH, HARD-WORKING DRIVE
The TR-4’s center-mounted cutter and its over-cutter center of gravity work together with a rugged V-belt power-band-cutter drive system.
This combination of features puts more power to the cut, making the TR-4 one of the industry’s most reliable and productive trimmers/reclaimers.
SUPERIOR AUTOMATED ACCURACY
The highly accurate and dependable HYDRA-MATION® controls used on the TR-4 provide unmatched grade accuracy while they ensure long-term reliability. With these outstanding controls, this three-track fine-grade trimmer easily prepares grades to within ± 1/8 in (3 mm) tolerance at higher rates of production.
3-TRACK DESIGN AND MAINFRAME
Heavy-duty unitized mainframe construction with box-section support beams for strength and rigidity.
Square rear tubular legs and round front tubular leg incorporate hydraulic lift cylinders. Completely raised, the machine has 12 in (305 mm) of cutter clearance above grade.
Tripod leg configuration provides self-stabilizing effect on uneven terrain and keeps the cutter-auger in constant parallel working plane, directly under the machine’s center of mass.
Tracks are yoke-mounted to leg columns, allowing track oscillation over uneven grade.
MECHANICAL CUTTER DRIVE SYSTEM
Power-Flow Engine, rubber-block-type PTO, U-joint driveline, air-operated clutch, powerband V-belt to planetary-reduction drive in cutter drum. Drive system on right-hand side.

- 10-ft heavy-duty cutter arrangement featuring 1 in (25 mm) flighting, 94 carbide-tipped conical teeth.
- 10-ft severe-service cutter arrangement featuring 2 in (51 mm) flighting, 164 carbide-tipped conical teeth.
- Operational-width cutter extensions for 12 ft (3.66 m); 14 ft (4.27 m); 16 ft (4.88 m) Cutter shipping skid for 12–16 ft cutters.
