The Magnum series has been redesigned with many upgrades including new high efficiency drying & mixing zones, railroad bearing trunnion roller assemblies, direct drive gearmotors and drum insulation & cladding as standard. To aid a rapid installation time the Magnum Super-Portables are fitted with large full width chassis support pad assemblies to distribute the load evenly thus minimizing site foundations and craneage.

CMI also be displayed the E3-300 RAP-Star 300 tph portable counterflow drum-mix capable of up to 50% RAP recycling. Access walkways allowed visitors to view the custom painted internal lifters and flights highlighting CMI’s unique early entry RAP design which provides the industry’s longest mixing & blending zone and substantial fuel savings.

Complementing both of the portable drum-mix asphalt plants, the new portable split-level control house was also on show incorporating individual motor control center and operators control room on one chassis. The control room is designed so that the operator has a higher vantage point to oversee plant operations with the added benefit of extra space underneath for storage. Both the motor control center and control room have their own independent climate control. The motor control panels as well as the Impulse III control and management system were also on display.
